Plan your visit
When we meet, how to find the room, and what a first Sunday actually looks like. Nothing here should be a surprise on the day.
When we meet
Come half an hour early. Intercessory prayer opens thirty minutes before nearly every service. Arriving inside that half hour gives you time to settle before the service itself begins.
Where to find us
Filmhouse Cinemas, Screen 5
Shoprite Mall, Alagbaka GRA
Akure, Ondo State
The pin drops on Shoprite Mall. Once you are in the car park, the three steps beside this get you to the door.
Open in Google Maps- 1 Park anywhere around the mallThere are parking lots on every side of Shoprite Mall. Any of them will do.
- 2 Take any of the three entrancesThree entrances lead from the car parks into the Filmhouse. Whichever one you use brings you to the same place.
- 3 Screen 5: last hall, on your leftWalk in, keep going to the end, and Screen 5 is the last screen hall on your left. Someone will be at the door.
What a first Sunday looks like
No rehearsed welcome, no pressure to say anything.
What to wear
The word that guides us is modesty: clothing that does not expose you. Beyond that there is no dress code. You are royalty; let your dressing introduce you as such.
The room is a cinema
Screen 5 is a working cinema hall with no daylight in it, so the room looks the same at half past nine in the morning as it does at night. Nothing has gone wrong; that is simply what it looks like.
Someone is looking out for you
Looking after first-timers is one department’s whole job. Say it is your first time and you will be shown where to sit and introduced to somebody.
Children
Children stay with their parents in the service for now. We have a space ready for them, and teachers are being trained through our membership class and leaders’ training before we open it.
You do not have to. But it helps.
Fill this in and it opens WhatsApp with a message to the church, ready to send. Somebody will be watching the door for you by name on the morning. It is the only form on the whole site, and it exists for exactly this.
